Mixing Of Python, PyMel and Maya API
· Def:-
PyMel is very well OO structured(personally big fan of PyMel).
But, it tends to get slow for large computation(eg. component level computations) as it creates class instance out of every valid output
and binds all the methods of that class to the newly created instance, thus slowing down the execution.
· Tip:-
· Use PyMel for small computations(node or object level etc.)
· Python in Maya for large computations(animNodes in the scene, component level etc.)
· Use API(Python or C++), for further optimization or where the code is getting realy slow.
